i had a black 2006 civic ex that i sold last november on craigslist for $12,500. carmax offered me $8,400. the dealership where i bought my new car (southern states subaru) offered $7,500.

Exactly, Carmax was a joke, and so was dealership. They sell everywhere (dealers and private owners) for around $12,500 but I am looking for near $11,500.

I think all 06-08 Civics and a handful of 09's were covered in the warranty extension. The warranty extension covers issues caused by porous engine block casting until 8 years after initial purchase with no mileage limit.
