Where in Middlesex? I'm in New Brunswick (well Highland Park actually). Not my favorite place in the world, but at least with great transit access to the city.

We like this little city for sure. The schools are great so far and I like being so close to NYC.

do you opt for the ferry usually? Or is it ever convenient to hop down to take the path?

We usually take the NJ 123 to the Port Authority and then hop on the subways. That is what Ken does for Work too. He takes the 1 to Houston.
I want to take the ferry. I wonder when the PATH is going to be working again?

The ferries are ridiculous expensive.

PATH is running from midtown to Journal Square. Newark should be up soon. WTC is probably going to be a long time; they are going to have to completely replace the track and signals.

Yeah right now it's definitely nice to be able to flash the employee badge and ferry ride

"PATH trains are scheduled to resume between Journal Square in Jersey City and 33rd Street in Manhattan starting at 5 a.m. and in the return direction until 10 p.m.

Stops will include Journal Square, Grove Street, Newport, 14th Street, 23rd Street and 33rd Street. There will be no stops at Christopher and 9th streets in Manhattan.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey said it will waive the fares for Tuesday.

PATH service remains suspended between Newark Penn Station and Journal Square, Hoboken, Exchange Place and World Trade Center as the Port Authority continues to pump water from tunnels and inspect the stations after unprecedented flooding from Sandy."

According to that map, my family is on the border between lake houses owned by NYers and vast wilderness of rednecks and retired hippies.
