Took her to slaughter this morning. My belly eagerly awaits her return.

She started getting really aggressive. Killed a 3 week old lamb and several chickens. I would have rather fatten her up much more before slaughtering her, but it is what it is.

Oh yeah I eat the shit out of pork. I just don't have the stomach for slaughter. I'd find something else to eat until I was hongry enough to slit her throat.

Hongry enough I'd chainsaw her head off.

Agreed. I couldn't witness it or do it myself. I mean, I guess I could, but I wouldn't want to. My GF got a lot more attached to her than I did (she is the one that named her). I had her convinced that she was just a pet, lol. THAT WOULD BE THE MOST EXPENSIVE PET EVER!

Anyway, guy at the slaughterhouse offered to sell me another piglet super cheap. Should I get it and tell my girlfriend that this is a "for real pet this time"......?

by super cheap, I mean free. In trade for the 2 hams off the pig he is slaughtering for me. That's the benefit of slaughtering a pig right before the holidays

so for pigs that you raise from piglets that achieve pet status...how do you feel eating them? Do they taste extra awesome because you knew what their fate was all along or is the meat tainted with sadness and regret?

thats the problem, you shouldnt have named her something cute. I like to name our animals, food related names, like "Bacon" "Roast" "Chops" "Loin" "BBQ"

Our Turkeys are "Sandwich" "Gravy" "Roast" "Breast"
