I'm not a big death metal fan man.

I'm probably going to go home and play league of legends non stop, get drunk, then go see this new wave of british heavy metal RAVEN at divebar get way drunker and then get reaaaaally drunk afterwards and listen to shitty 80s heavy metal. However i'm committed to this shit and it is a good idea.

Goatwhore is okay. The album with As the sun turns to ash is pretty killer on a few tracks. They were one of the first bands i saw in raleigh. However sammy duet played in a much better band Acid Bath. Acid Bath is a bit more accessible as well. To someone who doesn't know metal its like Pantera except with ideas.

^well i shall continue. The main thing that I like about acid bath is that their music is psychedelic but in a true sense. They're not cramming on phasers or delay pedals and jamming but the music kind of feels like a B horror film or a repressed trauma that you're brain doesn't remember correctly. Feels like coming down from a bad acid trip. The lyrics are very very well written.

Goatwhore on the other hand is pretty generic thrashy blackened death metal from the gutters of LA. Good but generic.
