I'm looking for one.
I've read some reviews.
I'm not decided if amazon will get me a better quality than Home Depot/Lowes.

what do you want to do with it? how often will you use it?
i had excellent service from a Honda for many years, but they're pricey. 11/12/2012 7:32:45 AM |

^What he said? Price range, and what do you plan on doing with it.
For anything other than just a once in a while type use, go to Northern Tool and pick up a Honda with a Cat/General/AV pump and get ready for that bad boy to last forever. Prepare to spend $400-$500.
Also check Craigslist, my Honda 5hp with General Pump was only $250 used, and it works perfect. 11/12/2012 8:10:51 AM |

I bought a reconditioned Simpson pressure washer with a Honda engine for $175 or so this summer. Put it all together and it wouldn't crank. Decided I wasn't dealing with troubleshooting it so I called the company to ask for a return shipping label. They told me they didn't have any more units to replace it with, so they would just refund my money. When I asked about the shipping label they told me just to keep it.
Checked spark and it was good. Checked carb bowl and it was full of fuel. Pulled the carb jet and it was clogged. Ran a piece of wire through it, put the carb back on, and she cranked on the first pull.
Not bad for 20 minutes of work and a phone call.

depending on where you live, you can buy these VERY cheap from the immigrants. just ask around the migrant workers where to get a bicycle for $10. once you get there, tell the guy you want to buy a pressure washer and other things for your hickspanic brothers at your church that want to start a landscaping business. 11/13/2012 7:54:03 PM |
