Since we're doing the math, how many is too many?

My husband and I had this huge debate a couple of days ago on how many is too many. He thinks if your number is greater than 10, then you're slutty. I think that if you're a single person whose been having sex for at least 10 years, that's not really all that slutty.

I'm not going to get into how many is too many. And I am guessing that number would vary depending on who you ask.

But in my opinion, 10 definitely isn't that many. You could get to 10 easily just sleeping with one new person a year.

If you've been sexually active for, say, 10-15 years, and average just, say, 2 partners per year, then by that metric, you're a slut 2-3x over, haha.

I am vindicated. I tried explaining to him that he's cracked and that his view is perhaps skewed because he's been a serial monogamist or married his entire adult life. He doesn't understand that the sex life of a 30 year old single person is no where near the sex life of a 17 year old single person (the last time he was single).

^We met when we were 18 and started dating at 20. He had definitely slept with other people before me, but those were LTR girls.
