I'm lucky that I come in under the wire as the unit I'm in is 5 units. Wonder how this will work since the design of the neighborhood is half units with 5 townhomes and the other half with 6th.

Next month they will be raising taxes to cover all of the lost revenue from trash pickup...right now its on t the water bill, if they transfer it to the hoa of multi unit housing the hoa dies will likely go up, the city will lose money.

This really bothers me because its not like they're cutting a luxury but its an essential service. Oh yeah they'll put cops out to cover the marathon or hold a parade but people get sanitation services cut .

For most entry level housing, townhomes aren't much cheaper, if at all. And they're horrible investments compared to single family housing. In a city like Raleigh, there is no reason, other than renting to college students, for anyone to buy a townhome. I nearly made that mistake and am so glad that I didn't.

Chapel Hill started testing some bullshit thing where you had a 24 hour period where your trash could be out or they would fine you in certain neighborhoods. The worst part is I might be away like I was during federal jury duty where I couldn't put the trashbin back up. Eh, government.
