i implore all of you to read the wikipedia article on bonobos, paying specific attention to the section on sexual behavior. if you can read that without laughing out loud, then something is wrong with you.

someone printed and posted that article in my squadron's ready room back in iraq back in '08; the bonobo immediately was elevated to near unofficial mascot status. I think we may have used it as a radio codeword. We definitely officially changed "go/no-critera" to "bo/no-bo criteria", hahaha.

And according to Christoper Ryan, the author of "Sex at Dawn" we are closer to chimpanzee.

The standard narrative of human sexuality is all wrong, he says. I've just picked this book up again, only on chapt 3.
