I'd buy a bunch of rural land not far from my house, and I'd build a huge workshop/storage building to keep toys and work on stuff. I'd buy some more guns and guitars/other musical instruments/recording gear, and I'd travel even more.

You could buy anything any normal person would want and still make more on the interest than any normal person could spend.


As seen in my earlier post, I would buy some awesome stuff, but nothing that I couldn't afford right now (individually...I'd be stretched to the breaking point at best if I bought all that stuff right now, haha) and nothing that would be TOO high profile. Like, I wouldn't buy myself a Gulfstream or a Bentley or a new Lamborghini or anything.

...but the only way you'd ever spend it all (on personal expenditures, anyway) would be on megayachts and private jets and personal islands and shit, and even that would take some work (without the islands, at least).

I would buy a bunch of land somewhere and have a race track built there. The garage would have 6 Porsches, 6 Ferraris and 6 Vipers. Whenever I felt like racing I would head out there with 5 friends and get to it.

flying lessons enough to solo fly said jet and maybe a helicopter

I would like my own stretch of personal road where I can drive as I see fit, but otherwise, my material aspirations are pretty modest--really, I'm kinda provincial.

So I think I'd spend a lot of my time going around and giving the money away. Just like $100k chunks here and there. I think that would be super fun, but I am somewhat paranoid about messing somebody's life up with a bunch of free cash.

After finishing my measly grad loan (<$5000) at this point, I would buy some nicer stuff. I don't think I'd feel right buying anything super luxury. I'd get a nice sport-y sedan, some better clothes, and decent PC. Then I'd buy a respectable house and a bunch of media/home entertainment stuff, mostly video games and music. I'd spend some of the money giving myself experiences I couldn't otherwise afford: luxury meals, world travel, etc.. I don't think I appreciate things well enough to buy a super yacht or mansion; I wouldn't know what to do with all that space or want to be bothered with it.

I think everyone says stuff like this before they hit it big though. Who knows? Maybe I'd get super rich, lose my mind, and get fitted for a tux made of platinum and black diamonds.
