wtf, leg?
This started happening about two months ago.
I had a spinal fusion last December.
The problem is that if I try to stretch my calf, my shin cramps up. 12/1/2012 1:54:06 PM

When my calves cramp, I don't stretch them out, I punch them into submission. 12/1/2012 3:07:28 PM

I get them sometimes after a night shift. Especially if I was too busy to drink more than one or two cups of fluids in a 12 hr shift. OR if I ate something REALLY salty before going to bed. 12/1/2012 9:58:48 PM

I have heard the restless leg syndrome theory for people who have experienced a nerve root injury. For you and me, it makes sense.
I am 8 months out of my microD at the L5-S1 and depending on my activity and how I sit and lay, I get this crawling and tingling sensation. Switching my position usually makes it better. My calfs always feel tight all the time.
I too was always paranoid that I have reinjured my disc, when I get nerve signs, but you have to understand that fibrosis( scar tissue) almost always affect that area that's been operated.

Yeah...just going to up the banana intake, start drinking more water, and try and stretch more.
I've got a ruptured disc at L45-S1, I knew it before the surgery. It never has caused me any pain, so I don't think that's it. 12/2/2012 1:06:16 AM
