I never said anything in any of his threads about how I thought he was being a tool, mainly because I knew he would start lashing out, and I didn't want to get involved in a back and forth with the guy for no reason, especially when I knew any criticism about his behavior would not change anything.

But I couldn't stand his comments and inflammatory bullshit, and I am VERY glad that he's finally gone.

I had him blocked very early on (like after I saw a dozen or so of his aggressively stupid posts) so I didn't have to see his stupidity first hand too often, but I will not miss the almost constant negativity that followed him around like a black cloud.

Thanks to the mod, or team of mods that decided to make this place suck a whole lot less. Hopefully it's a permanent solution.

I, for one, commend qfred's decision

While I don't think gxb was necessarily the most vile or deserving to be the first to be made an example of, he was part of an increasing trend toward obnoxious behavior that has stagnated this site to no small degree. There are several members I'd like to see gone because of rampant immaturity and unwavering antagonism, offering virtually nothing to the community.

But more than that, they're just fucking annoying. It makes me laugh when people bitch about free speech and suspending people for "getting butthurt" over their posts. Or the slippery slope argument. If you're consistently being an insufferable moron, you're degrading the quality of the site and you need to be culled for its preservation

There isn't a constitution. This isn't 4chan. If you suck, you should get voted off. So good work, qfred
