Saw this story about Duchess on the Greensboro News the other night, thought I'd share those others that knew her.

For those that didn't know her, her name was Emily and she was a TWWer we lost to a drunk driving accident.

i was about the ask the SAME thing - i'm guessing they ran a blood tox screen on Emily but i just couldn't see someone sober getting into a car with someone who had been drinking.

i can't blame the woman for wanting her daughter to be an angel, but she was probably drinking too. the message they should be giving is to call a cab, when you try to decide who the "sober" person is things go bad.

the issue is really about giving someone the keys because they are "less drunk"

it doesnt matter how drunk duchess was really, she made a bad choice getting into the car and not calling a cab or a truly sober friend

i doubt she didnt realize her friend had been drinking. What she thought was that she was "good"

all i am saying is that she made a bad choice that many people make everyday

ive gotta stop people from doing that kind of stuff when i work, they try to do it all the time and Duchess passing is the main reason i am so keen on it.

Kids try to do the right thing by not driving, but then they jump into the fire so to speak whent hey hand the keys to someone else whom they have no idea of their alcohol tolerance or what drugs the alcohol might interact with

My point is that there is no point in arguing over the details of her death, she died. She was one of our own, so i posted the video for those of us that knew her to remember her. We have all made stupid mistakes that could have killed us.
