ICEMONKEY.COM IS A THIEF AND A LIAR, ETC

I figured I would go ahead and start a thread about this because shit is about to get real.

12/1 - I ordered a bluetooth headset and a bluetooth mouse from icemonkey.com and paid via paypal checkout. This came to $19.98

12/1 - I also ordered a Motorola Xyboard, 3 Apple headsets, and a set of sheets on totally separate order. This order came to $290.95 and was also paid by PayPal checkout.

12/6 - I had to open a PayPal dispute because they did not ship the item. The second order or tracking info NEVER CAME, they will not respond to e-mails, have no phone number, have not sent out a tracking number or back order notice or anything.

12/10 - I go in PayPal and escalate the dispute to a claim, still no product or tracking # for the second order.

Yesterday I get an email with a tracking number from paypal and think "OH GREAT, ICEMONKEY.COM FINALLY SENT MY TABLET, I WILL SURELY HAVE IT AND THE OTHER STUFF BY CHRISTMAS, PHEW"

Last night I look up the tracking number to see where my item is, and it says it has already been delivered. I am like WTF? I look on the porch, ask my wife, no one else lives here and no one has seen a box big enough to hold all of that stuff. Kind of puzzled I think back through the packages I have received..maybe there is a mistake.

Then I look in my closet where all the packages for online ordered Christmas stuff is, luckily I am a slob and did no throw any of the packaging away yet. I find the envelope with the tracking number that is now on PayPal, and showing delivered. Inside I find a Bluetooth mouse, and a Bluetooth headset. The packing slip inside says the same thing and comes to $19.98. I then notice the UPS label on the front says. "Item# MOT-XYBOARD-10-16GB-RB"

These stupid assholes are either lying, or they think they sent me a $290.00 of stuff and they sent $19.98 of stuff. I email then and again get no response, now the PayPal resolution center will not let me put any more info in my "item not received" claim since there is a tracking number.

I have pictures of the packaging, ass backwards labels, and photos taken beside a ruler that pretty much prove that there is no way a set of sheets, 10" tablet, and 3 sets of headphones fit in this small bubble wrap mailer. The problem is emailing this company is about as productive as talking to the dog about it. The auto response says you will have a reply in 24-48 hours, I have not gotten anything back beginning with emails from over a week ago. The only way to get a response from them is to dispute the charge, which has already been done via PayPal and they put the wrong tracking number in on that dispute...so that is on hold.

IceMonkey.com has horrible customer service. IceMonkey.com does not respond to email. IceMonkey.com puts false tracking information in on PayPal. IceMonkey.com does not have a working phone number.



I tried blasting them on twitter, but they have their page set where they have to approve tweet or something. Should I start a blog and put all of this info on there and start sending it around to the tech sites so someone with a bigger audience can do a story on the pitfalls of shopping on any site owned by dailysteals.com? I tried calling paypal but all I got was a very nice lady in a foreign call center telling me not to worry about it paypal would review the claim and not to take any action at this time...the only problem is there is a tracking number on the paypal claim that shows a package going to my house...its just not the right order and only had some stocking stuffers in it.

This scam website http://www.icemonkey.com is an eBay power-seller, with deals on the home page of eBay.com, they are located in the US.

PayPal reversed the charge. I had to figure out how to change the type of "claim" which was like the smallest link on the page, re-classify the claim as "item not as described", after that point I think they failed to respond to Paypal because 10 days later the money went back.

Also if you try to g00g1e IceMonkey.com customer service # this thread is the second result now.

Its true, I placed orders before and after the one that never came and had no problem at all. The shipping is a bit slow, and they do not send out tracking numbers or any kind of updates, or answer emails. The rest of the stuff was a good deal however and had it not been for this snag that they would not take care of I would have given them high marks. Unfortunately, this was the largest order I placed with them and the one I wanted the fastest, and it kept almost $300 tied up in outer space the whole month of December for a product that they did not send.
