my goal this year is to read 12 complete series consisting of 3+ books....with a few extra books thrown in...the books in a few of the series I have in mind are substantial in length so I'm not shooting for a total book count this year

currently reading The Wives of Henry VIII - The Spanish Bride: A Novel of Catherine of Aragon - Laurien Gardner

I'm going to do it this year! I can feel it!

My goal is to read at least one moderately worthwhile book for every dirty book that I read. So I really need to get maximum filth out of my dirty books.

So please post good dirty books here.

I posted this in the other thread Casey after seeing your list

A lot of mine are audiobooks that I listen to while doing other things. I'm constantly listening to books or podcasts throughout the day. I also have a job where I can listen and fill out spreadsheets, etc and listen at the same time.

I can't do audiobooks during the day. I do most of my reading in bed at the end of the night and I can usually only stay awake for a chapter or two. Sometimes I'll realize the next time I pick up the book that I was so drowsy for the last few pages of what I read that I have no idea what happened. I have to reread and that doesn't help with finishing anything quickly.

AUDIO BOOKS SHOULD NOT COUNT!

If I listened to audio books then I could get through 23472893749823 books in a year

very few of mine are even e-books...

it's just not the same as reading an actual book

Agree. If I could do audiobooks I'd have a ton more. Though I honestly just prefer reading the book myself.

That depends, what type of books do you like or have an interest in? I'd be happy to make a few suggestions.

i should probably change my goal to just reading this series by 2014

7 books at 1,200 pages a piece is rough...and it's a very slow read on top of that...

^^ It's great if you like David Cross standup and political opinions. It's really random at times and very silly. I really enjoyed it and it's a quick read.
