I've had this happen a couple of times. I go for a spot and there's someone standing in it saving it. I just go to another spot and get on with my life.

A- nobody deserves to be hit by a car

B- some people do things, like saving a parking space, that are so narrow minded that it blows my mind. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person in the world, too, but usually it's when I'm alone/in the middle of nowhere/not in a jam packed parking lot.

^^^I heard on the radio that the teen who was saving the spot supposedly had a friend on the way who had recently given birth, and she was trying to save a close spot or something stupid like that.

Teenagers sometimes also like to do everything together, including park next to each other. But I thought it was universally understood that you can only do that if you find two spots together at the same time.
