average career length is < 3 years.

and the point is he said he couldn't afford a house without a big contract. which is horseshit. i only pointed to that million dollar home because someone brought up the rich ass parts of seattle. i wanted to show that even earning "only" $660K a year, he still could have bought a house.

it's just more of his fake ass busta personality

I used to like Russell a lot more when he was at State and just didn't really talk to the media much. Even when he did it was basically a bunch of non-headline grabbing quotes.

Now everything that comes out of his mouth sounds so incredibly manufactured to push his entire brand.

because you see, the Seahawks "dynasty" only won 1 Super Bowl, it's not that difficult to understand

you expecting some facebook meme to be some brilliant act of deep creativity?

I had Sir-Mix-Alot's Swass album four years before "Baby Got Back" even came out. It had the hits "Posse on Broadway", "Square Dance Rap" and the cover of "Iron Man", and featured Kid Sensation. It went platinum.

lol at RW's ADP in Yahoo being the 3rd QB behind Luck and Rodgers

I mean, the guy wins, but he doesn't put up good fantasy numbers

I got Brady in the 8th round, for example #humblebrag

The point is that RW should not be the 3rd ADP QB, regardless of Brady. Take Brady out of the equation. Guys like Peyton and Brees have put up much better fantasy numbers than RW during his career.

^ Is it a career or season rating? Even though he's been struggling, his fantasy numbers have been pretty decent this year. And Peyton has been below average and Brees is injured. Russell had over 300 total yards last night (two fumbles weren't good!).

I like at that shitty offensive line as a good/bad thing for his number. He's going to get sacked and might make some mistakes, but he's going to rush for a ton of yards as well as make some big plays off scrambles.

It just means his Average Draft Position across all of Yahoo's leagues this season is the 3rd QB taken off the board. It's not like he's asked to throw the ball 40+ times per game, but because of that, I don't get why he is so high. In my league's scoring, he's the 11th best QB. Not bad, but not worthy of that ADP.

I think he'll probably be a top 5 fantasy QB by the end of the year only because they're going to end up having to ask him to do a lot. Lynch isn't healthy, and even when he is, that O-line can't run block for shit. He's going to have have high yard totals (run and pass)...he's just going to have to get the TDs as well.

But I can definitely see him above Brees and Manning. Those guys are fading.

in espn fantasy standard scoring he is the #9 QB in scoring.

but last year he finished the season as the #3 scoring QB in standard espn leagues. while i wouldn't have taken him as the 3rd QB, i don't think it's completely crazy.

We'll see. I just don't think Seattle is going to ask him to do as much as Atlanta asks Ryan to do, San Diego asks Rivers to do, Carolina asks Cam to do, etc. And barring injury there's no way he puts up better numbers than Rodgers or Brady.

^he was #12 in my Yahoo league's scoring. Not sure why such a large disparity between leagues and points

interesting...in my yahoo league (not standard scoring, we have our own system) he is currently 12th. i can't figure out how to look at my league's player rankings from last year...i can get to the 2014 page, but it just has final standings and final rosters and stuff. can't sort anything by point totals. he was on my roster last year and finished with 299 points...obviously our scoring systems are different, but i don't really feel like going through and looking at every team's roster to see where that ranked in 2014.

See, I think they will...because they can't run this year like they use to.

Only Caveat being if they keep shutting other offenses down...then he won't have to score as much. But they still have to move the ball and try to score.

Just looked it up, I had Russell 10th qb on my big board before the draft.. I am so smart

^lol thanks, i'm stupid...never noticed that option before.

so, in my league RW was 9th in scoring in 2013, 3rd in 2014. i was mostly curious myself, not really trying to argue against TT10's point. RW is, imo, a top 5-6 fantasy QB, depending of course on scoring in your league. he wasn't my #3 QB, but i can see why somebody would take him over Peyton or Brees at this point. I wouldn't take him over Brady, but Brady was still suspended during most people's drafts, so that would explain him going before Brady. Plus, people like RW. And that's not really a good reason to draft him, but he's been to two straight Super Bowls and I can see people being biased because of that...even if they made Super Bowls mostly because of their ground game and defense.

My scoring is weighted more towards passing than running (PPR, 0.5 point per completion, 6 points per passing TD) so I guess in my particular scoring format, he's not a top 5 QB. But I underestimated his value with standard scoring.

^yeah, we try to tweak our scoring from time to time...if notice passing QBs dominating the scoring, we try to balance it out a little. obviously, not a perfect system since QB styles and team's strategies change over time. we value passing TDs the same as rushing or receiving TDs (6 points), but we are a little harsher on INTs than standard scoring (-4) and then it's -6 for a pick 6. So turnovers are especially harsh in our league. So gunslinger-type QBs aren't as good in our league.

After the game RW celebrates at a local pizza parlor until 9pm. He went home where Ciara was waiting patiently at the drive way. She gave him hug and a bottle of recover water. She went home to her mother's house and he went up into his room said a prayer and went to sleep. It was a good night.
