i'm a huge fan of watterson, and i'm confident he is pissed that this docu is being made.
the reason he remains so anonymous and refuses to license his work is because he wants the strip to exist in and of itself. to pick it apart and delve into the mystique is the last thing he would want.

If he really wanted that, he wouldn't publish it. Some things, like Calvin & Hobbes, become part of the larger social discourse and it is inevitable that people will discuss how it impacted them . . . and they should. Great art prompts this discussion.2/18/2013 10:56:34 AM |
