^^I got the impression that "krokodil" is highly impure desomorphine.

So an opiate addict using krokodil would be like an alcoholic drinking moonshine with antifreeze/lead/methanol/whatever.

The fact that it's desomorphine only matters in that apparently people enjoy that particular high, and they can cheaply/crudely concoct it. But pure desomorphine (not krokodil) sounds like a decent drug for pain.

Blah...I wish we could all just drink poppy tea and chew on coca leaves. And all plants grew everywhere, and we were all best friends.

I can't sleep cause I've been reading about these people--I couldn't watch the videos. They're all sick with HIV and hepatitis and tuberculosis. Nothing works right inside them so they can't even properly absorb nutrients if a morsel of decent food were to pass their lips, and their bowels...their poor bowels. And a lot of them can't even get high anymore, but they keep jabbing themselves with crusty needles full of garbage just to go buy more codeine and eyedrops or whatever. And does the withdrawal really last a month?!?

If addicts in the United States are experiencing even a tenth of this horror, then A/E is filming the wrong people. I mean, I've always had compassion or at least sensed that I should have compassion...but, good night, these poor people. And I know they're lying liars who steal stuff and hurt people, but I can't believe we put them in prison.

I don't understand how the woman with the exposed bone can even move her hand. Most of those muscles extend to the elbow - muscles that are gone.

I also don't understand why it would be better walking around with that exposed bone (which has to be painful) rather than to just amputate. And can that bone, being exposed to the elements like it is, perform its normal function like marrow production?
