Watched the first episode last night.

Slow plot to begin with, but I really enjoyed it...will continue to watch the series.
Should be good if its half as good as Hatfields and McCoys was.

honestly, even Discovery is a shell of it's former self. You have to have one of the top tier cable packages with Science Channel and Smithsonian to get anything of educational value

The Learning Channel used to be educational public broadcasting too until it was privatized in the 1980's. So the next time you hear someone criticize PBS or say we need to cut funding to it, remind them of Honey Boo Boo.

Just watched the first episode. I do like Viking related movies and TV shows but I'm conflicted on this being aired on the history channel. No doubt the Vikings are an important part of world history and I did enjoy the first episode. But I would rather this be a documentary or based on true events. Not real thrilled with the super natural aspect of this being aired on the history channel. Had this been aired on the SciFy channel it wouldn't be an issue.

Fuck I still remember my favorite time of "educational" TV was when Wings aired on Discovery back in the 80's and 90's. I used to watch the shit out of that and all of its spin-offs. Can't justify the huge cable bill that it requires to get the Military Channel these days, but I used to love watching those shows.
