I'm finally going to be opening a brick and mortar electronics sales and repair shop in the NC State area (looking at several open spots, haven't made a final decision yet). I need a name for the business and haven't been able to think of one I'm really happy with yet.

So help me out. Whoever picks the name I like most here, even if I don't use it, gets a $50 store credit. I'll also be offering discounts to TWW people on labor and used hardware when I'm open.


So far the forerunner is Lupine Electronics. Keep in mind this is something I'll need to put on a sign, so it can't be too long (keep it to three words or less). Tech Talk has been pretty useless so figured I'd try Chit Chat for the laughs if nothing else.

Lobo Electronics isn't bad. Can't put my own name in it since I have a co-owner.

God: not competing with Newegg. We'll sell mostly used and refurbished equipment, but will carry a selection of new parts like laptop AC adapters, accessories, cables, etc. I'll sell those at little to no markup . . . . how many times have you needed an HDMI cable or an adapter or something and not wanted to wait for shipping? I'll also happily sell replacement parts I have in stock if people want to do a repair themselves, I want to cater just as much to geeks as I do to regular customers.

^Not without a huge markup, unless you know somewhere I don't.

I'll probably order in bulk off Monoprice and sell near cost. $5 for a 6ft HDMI cable for instance. I can't count how many times I've had to pay 3-4x price at Best Buy or Tigerdirect because I needed something right away, and there are plenty of people who'll come in the door for just that. Not something to make money on, just a way to help out fellow geeks who might just end up bringing me business.
