Your familiarity makes me uncomfortable.
And, if you must know, I haven't been to Big Lots in months. But I am definitely poor and just as trashy as you imagine so it's whatever. 3/19/2013 8:46:06 PM

AHA, really though, it doesn't make me uncomfortable. But it is definitely weird. We've interacted on here like a handful of times, and I don't think those times were pleasant or agreeable.
If you have another name where we're best buds and love to LOL together all the time, you gotta let me know. 3/19/2013 8:55:11 PM

I wish they'd destroy that K-Mart and parking lot and put something there that's not 3rd world country-esque. Feel like I need a tetanus shot each time I've left there. 3/19/2013 11:32:22 PM

I think somebody on here said that K-Mart owns all their property outright so their overhead is so low they don't really need to close locations.
I, for one, like shopping there. It's awesome if you want to shop in total solitude with every aisle to yourself...but then somehow have to stand in line for ten minutes to check out. 3/20/2013 10:37:20 AM

That place is terrible. They deserve to fail IMO.
It seems that the hardware is never hanging under the right price tag, so unless you like reading SKUs you'll probably get a surprise or two when you get to the cash register. And that's assuming you can even find a price tag for the item. I've seen pallets at the end of the aisle that block shopping carts from passing; forcing the shopper to turn around and go back down the aisle to get out. It's the only place I've ever been that I couldn't find anyone to check me out. After several minutes I left my cart and walked out.
And the kicker is that I've probably only been there 5-8 times in the last decade even though that place is less than a mile and a half away. Each time serves as a reminder that Target is only 2 miles further away and worth the drive. 3/20/2013 10:48:28 AM

You just nailed every K-Mart in the country:

The only thing missing from that description is that NOTHING has prices on it so you have to go stand online for 10 minutes to find out it costs more at K-mart than pretty much any other store. 3/20/2013 2:15:02 PM
