Has anyone else had issues with the new definitions automatically updating?
The last month or two I've gotten messages about the definitions being older than 7 days and have had to manually update them.
Also, it seems like its taking hours for them to update (in the background).
I'd switch to another anti-malware program if there is a much better one, but this has always been pretty reliable, and I think I paid for a subscription a number of years ago. 3/25/2013 9:31:32 PM |

I have to manually update them as well. When I do it the update is very quick. 3/25/2013 9:50:13 PM |

^^^It's not a subscription, just a one-time upgrade to Pro; anyway I just use the program as an on-demand scanner and update right before I scan, because the realtime scanner bogged down my system, and the URL scanner brought forth way too many false positives.
I just used Microsoft Security Essentials as my realtime anti-malware program when I had XP and Win7, and now that I have Win8 I use Windows Defender (enhanced with AV capability for Win8). 3/25/2013 10:55:31 PM |

This june will be the second year for corporate subscription. I think I got in at 9.99/seat/year. Usually the updates choke when it's a major version change and it requires some manual input.
Though I just re-read your post and I don't think that's your issue. 3/26/2013 2:05:59 PM |
