How is this game so damn addictive. Genius idea since there is an entire world for them to slowly develop and distribute to users. Also enjoying that Android is now on Origin so I can make more with friends.

I thought about making a thread a few times but haven't. There was some discussion in the iPad thread a while back though.

Been playing almost everyday since August but when theres no big reason to visit friends I usually don't. Take forever to go through 25 towns.

I play this all the time, getting kind of tired of the whole snake thing, I would have to put in far too much effort to get all the stuff. It was nice with other big updates where friends could help you get stuff easier, I just went onto the EA forum and added my name to the add me list and other people did most of my work for me.

I refuse to pay for any of that crap but I do have 185 doughnuts that I got for free and I have the squeaky voiced teen that I also bought with free doughnuts.

During some of the promotions if you have extra whatever items you try to collect (see snakes) then they might offer some way to potentially turn them into doughnuts. I think it was the Christmas promotion where I really cleaned up.

not being able to do much without donuts does suck but thankfully the game is still quite playable not using them. like was mentioned above, seems there are promotions or special deals where you can get donuts. i wouldn't mind if there were easier ways to get them in the game other than just leveling up though; that should be looked into by EA, IMO.

I loved this game and was playing it near religiously, but I had to uninstall it because the Homer notifications going off during work meetings was simply too much. If there was a way I could disable the sound notifications without the pop up ones, I would be happier.

^ in the latest version the option exists now to disable notifications. EA actually listened to the thousands of complaints from people regarding that issue.

how come sometimes there is a handshake icon above your buildings before you collect them instead of a dollar sign? does that mean somebody visited your city and collected that building or something?

i too missed the holidays stuff as this wasn't available on Android until the new year. i would think they will continue to do holiday promo stuff, seems to make the most sense. want to keep people coming back so they will need new avenues to keep people interested in the game. the whacking day thing is fun and all but some of the prizes are
