Ruben is obscure by choice, imo. He chose to go the R&B/Soul route which lacks in popularity compared to Pop or Country. He released his 5th album last year, had 1 album go Platinum, and 1 go Gold......so he ain't exactly hurting either.

That house is pretty pimp. A little too much dark wood in the kitchen and master bath for my tastes...but definitely not an "overdone celebrity house" like you see a lot. Basement/rec room with the checkerboard floors is a little much as well...but it's still a rec room. Theater room is awesome and that back patio/backyard is the tits.

^^agreed that the house isn't all that bad. I liked the kitchen; the masterbath was bad though; and the rec room colors were horrible (floor and cabinets); the rest was either decent or better. certainly not bad at all.

I don't see $2.5 million, but the pictures probably don't do it justice. Also depends on where that 6 ac of property is sitting.

Yeah, I guess "chose" wasn't the right word to use there. I guess I should say he probably knew going into it that he wouldn't reach the fame of Kelly Clarkson, considering the genre of music he represents.

I would agree with the Taylor Hicks is probably the biggest loser after winning AI, probably because he doesn't really fit in anywhere. Although he headlines shows in Vegas, so his ends are probably meeting as well.
