Well, hurricane season is less than a month away. As always they are predicting it to be a busier than normal season. My question is, if every season is busier than normal, then what the hell is normal?

Here are the names:
Andrea
Barry
Chantal
Dorian
Erin
Fernand
Gabrielle
Humberto
Ingrid
Jerry
Karen
Lorenzo
Melissa
Nestor
Olga
Pablo
Rebekah
Sebastien
Tanya
Van
Wendy

Lets see how many times I can get on the news this year...

NC's coast is currently under a tropical storm warning. It looks like our last day of school will be windy and rainy...I wonder if they will cancel the last day of school. Sometimes they will do a delay or something. But it's already an early release.

Y'all are going to get wet in Raleigh!

Well the rain has started here. Apparently it's going to clear up Friday evening/night. Not much wind, but I'm concerned tomorrow with driving a school bus.

We will have TD5 at the 11pm advisory likely TS Erin tomorrow off the coast of Africa. May have another forming in western Caribbean as well. Things are finally starting to heat up a little.

I doubt either one of those will have any effect on us.

So I decided to go on vacation the last week in August.

If it is "boring" I will put a hex on you.

True, although the one in the caribbean could help increase the rain chances over the weekend into early next week. I dont think its going to develop at this point and best case it heads on over into Texas where they need the rain. Erin is either heading out to see or going to be eaten alive by dry air like Dorian and Chantal were. The one to watch is a large wave sitting over Africa right now. If Erin stays west she may be sacrificing herself to moisten up the atmosphere some for that wave to develop and make it across if it develops. We all know how those F storms have fared for us recently!

Let's follow Erin, as she stays far out in the Atlantic and annoys the crap out of Bermuda.

The spaghetti models for Erin...

And this is just fun to watch...
