You should have told her the truth, Greensboro sucks, especially the area surrounding A&T. And while whites will not take her serious when she says she goes to A&T she will one day graduate and make more money than UNC grads.

Also in my 2 years of attending there was never a AggieAlert about rape, it is safe to walk around campus at 4 in morning as long as you aren't a drug dealer.

How different is Charlotte from Raleigh?

I've lived in Raleigh for 13 years (love it) and have only visited Charlotte as a kid to go to Carowinds.

People seem to really hate on Charlotte but, and excuse my ignorance here, having never been there I don't really know why.

Charlotte is too spread out, it drives me nuts. I can't stand suburban sprawl. Raleigh is guilty, but less so. Also the traffic is worse, and Charlotte residents like to blame their roadway woes on Raleigh, which appears to be a weak argument.

Oh and they like to call their downtown area "uptown" which just has a whole snob connotation to it.
