she must have a filthy vehicle if swapping out a battery gets your hands dirty

my main problem with changing batteries is i forget which size wrench you use for the terminals, so i have to pull like 2 or 3 wrenches out of my toolbox before i find the right one!

Well dust and water gets up there from the road. It's not a sealed area.

Family had an '86 Audi 5000 back in the day, the battery was underneath the back seat. Now *that* was odd. Probably good for weight distribution though.

Yes I will admit it is good for weight purposes. But other than that no.

And most places throw that shit away when a new battery is installed. Most times they are right at where the bumper support is mounted to the body and get punctured in a collision.

A shitload of new cars come with the battery in the trunk. So apparently manufacturers do think it's a great idea.

Probably not when Cletus goes to runnin' wire.

I did too, once. We were on our way to an event and I didn't want to get all dirty.

I did carry the battery in and out of the store for her though....
