Damn I used to take magazines and books in there all the damn time when I was a kid. Dad built himself a toilet roll holder that would hold two rolls on at a time and had a big ass book/magazine holder above that so he always had something to read while pinching loafs. I would do it too, but I just carry my iPad and read a book while I'm in there.

My kids just take their 3DS and play games while shitting.

i don't know what life before smart phones was like. I never have it further than an arms reach away from me at anytime, and when i do, i start getting uneasy. I have it on me and usually am active on it while watching tv/movies, watching sports, playing games, eating lunch, in the bathroom, waiting in line, etc...

Actually the other night, i fell asleep with my iphone in my hand...

i am still resisting getting a smartphone, and will hold out for another year until may 2014 when i will probably need to buy one.

i spend enough (read: too much) time on the internet at work and home, and on the ipad at home, so a smartphone would not be a good idea for me.

p.s. i need a cell phone for making phone calls, and mine makes excellent phone calls, and takes up very little area and volume.

Apps I enjoy:
Flow Free: fun game, I usually don't play games, but this one is pretty fun.
Google Drive: Nice being able to access my files no matter where I am.
Gtask: Syncs task with google so you can keep with you're nasa shit.
Google Calendar: I also share my calendar with my boyfriend so he knows when I'm working and in class and when we have something planned together.
Colornote Notepad: I keep notes on there from work or grocery list. You can password protect it as well which I like

Then there's barcode scanner, google sky map, words with friends. I generally use apps for productivity instead of bullshiting around. I don't have the facebook app because it uses too much RAM and I can look at it via chrome.

You can dl apps at http://play.google.com if you don't want to search using your phone.
