Question for any of the Hagan supporters, do you have any problem with her family benefiting from taxpayer monies in the form of stimulus grants?

http://www.carolinajournal.com/daily_journal/display.html?id=11481

And yes, I linked to the hyper-partisan, totally bought and paid for Carolina Journal as a source.

^^that just brings up an issue to me.... i find it perplexing that some people are a "Kagan-supporter" or a "Tillis-supporter". I usually see politics as choosing the least worse politician. I don't get how people "support" politicians, and put stickers on their cars and signs in their yard. It seems silly to me.

The grants were available, they applied and got them, I don't see an issue. Even Carolina Journal Online isn't claiming that Hagan helped them get the grants or did anything unethical, so I'm not sure what the problem is. Am I missing something?

We can just copy and paste that every election season.

she's no tillis (less worse). why does there need to be other reasons? I mean, it's not as if there's a lot of viable options.

a third party vote is just a vote against one of the 3 major candidates, conservative groups are running ads for Haugh expecting it to be a vote against Hagan

funny, the conservatives say the same thing about how a vote for a 3rd party is a vote against Tillis. god forbid people vote for a candidate they actually want to vote for.

voters might think that, but actual conservative money is on hoping Haugh steals votes from Hagan. The American Future Fund, a Koch group, is running ads for Haugh

Why a Conservative 501(c)(4) is Running Pro-Libertarian, Pro-Marjuana Ads on Hulu
The American Future Fund is trying to convince young liberals to bail on the Democrats and go Libertarian.

Conservative group: If you like getting high, vote Sean Haugh

Koch-linked group launches pro-weed campaign for North Carolina Libertarian candidate
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/post-politics/wp/2014/10/23/koch-linked-group-launches-pro-weed-campaign-for-north-carolina-libertarian-candidate/

AFF didn't produce these ads because they think that Haugh is a real contender, they want to steal votes from Hagan,

A vote for 3rd party is at best a wasted vote and at worst (depending on the race) a vote for the other candidate

The only flaw with this tactic is everyone that gets high and is not too lazy to skip voting is still gonna vote democratic.

In case anyone is interested in hearing from some of the lesser known Senate candidates in the race, including Haugh, below is a link to a local Charlotte site that sponsored a recent debate:

Tillis was ALEC legislator of the year in 2011. That alone is reason enough to vote against him aside from aiding in bringing fracking to NC, rejecting Medicaid expansion etc.

The republicans on my Facebook are having a ball with those Blue Cross letters that mistakenly went out saying their rates are going up. Anyone else think its odd that happened so close to the election???

No more odd than all the stuff that doesn't go into effect until post election that was specifically written that way.

Less than 48 hours until the commercials stop.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2014/senate/nc/north_carolina_senate_tillis_vs_hagan_vs_haugh-5136.html

It is now a statistical dead heat, but Hagan had more of a lead during the early voting period in which over a million ballots were cast.
