The only people who say "SNL isn't funny any more" are people who don't actually watch it.

It's inconsistent. It has always been inconsistent. It will always be inconsistent. It's a 90 minute sketch show that is done from scratch in four and a half days EVERY WEEK.

And it's almost a given that when Lorne retires, the show will be retired, too.

Drunk uncle, Stefon, the ex porn star girls, and a few other sketches make me laugh, but it will never be as good as it used to be. I do miss Andy Samburg and Kristen Wiig being on the new shows.

I wonder if SNL isn't like what I've heard about music. Supposedly, the music that you prefer to listen to over and over is the music you listened to in high school, which for me was the late 90's. Those were also my favorite SNL years. Maybe the high schoolers now are loving SNL while we all think it's garbage.
