Is a power bridge like this the best (easiest?) solution for in wall power & HDMI?
http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=104&cp_id=10425&cs_id=1042513&p_id=4652&seq=1&format=2

I can wire up a separate outlet & use something like this:
http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=104&cp_id=10425&cs_id=1042501&p_id=7332&seq=1&format=2

But the first option will let me run the television through my power center/surge protector & seems like it could be a bit simpler & future proof.

option #1 seems a bit more reasonable. just ordered pretty much exactly the same thing from Amazon myself for about $1 more.

Got my amazon kit. It actually came with the in-wall wiring. Nice.

Gonna hang the new TV this weekend.

wait, wut?

Am I missing something? Option 1: one receptacle behind your TV, the other near some other outlet. Then a short power cable is plugged from the 2nd receptacle into the outlet, thereby getting juice to the TV receptacle?

If you have to go through all that mess, why not just add an outlet to the existing circuit?
