Any piece of hardware that wants me to install its software rather than just drivers.

OH and the fact that PS3 and 360 don't batch/background update apps so that on the offchance I want to watch Netflix or play a game it inevitably requires an update. My phone queries for updates and then only asks for confirmation if the permissions have changed. I wish the consoles would do this.

don't get me started on the PS3 updates. jesus. every damn couple of days i turn it on and want to netflix an episode of DS9 or something, and "YOU MUST UPDATE YOUR PLAYSTATION SOFTWARE TO LOGIN TO NETFLIX"

and it's not netflix that needs updating, it's the playstation. shit worked fine 2 days ago. turns out there IS an auto-update feature, BUT you have to pay to be part of the playstation premium plus network (or whatever they call it) for it to work. bastards.

I got a Roku which works much better for netflix than the PS3 ever did.
