i used to get super butthurt when people unfriended me, but then i've had to go through several times and unfriend mostly because my friends list was getting too large to keep up with. no big deal anymore. if people add me back i'll usually accept because, well, i'm no good at saying no.

but in relation to the OP, i haven't had an issues with the NBA games, but in the spring i've definitely unfriended over basketball comments.

I called my friends "faggots," and was called "faggot" by them, on a regular basis. Anyone we didn't like was a "faggot." In particular anyone who was emotional/sensitive was a "faggot."

I'm not saying it's right, but today's generation should understand that yesterday's generation doesn't see "faggot" as a hate-term, but just a light-to-moderate insult. I still use it pretty much every time I drive anywhere.

I would probably unfriend someone I wasn't really friends with for posting that. If it were an actual friend though I would probably say something in private about how I found it to be offensive. Not everyone cares if they are offensive, but if you're actually friends I don't see a problem in letting them know.
