Yeah I'm pretty excited for it and I'll be there with a friend. I'll definitely do every workshop that promises to teach you a skill.

^^^ if you do the soldering thing you have to buy a kit... otherwise you don't physically have something to solder. This is mostly true for things that you can walk away from with a trinket, and there's only a handful of those.

The participants are mostly stationary booths, so it's not a relevant question for them. It's not uncommon that they have something to play with, but depends on the group.

Fighting robots is probably something you can't just walk up and do, although I'm not completely sure.

Went today, what a clusterfuck. I swear they had more booths in the same space, and with the clearly increased attendance, you could barely walk around, much less stop and look at anything. In years past it had been fun, but I was really disappointed this time around because it's so crowded you can hardly stop to enjoy anything or have a conversation.
