I made it a mile and then I feel like I was going to pass out and die.

Apparently my body missed all that blood I gave this morning.

EMCE is correct I don't run miles, I sprint them.

My top time is 4.59 minutes.

why in the flying fuck would they have beginners running suicides? Jesus I hate stupid people who think they know how to train people. How long had you been running? What was your best mileage/length of time running before you got hurt?

Also, with regard to ^, I ran cross country in high school and tried smoking up before a few runs. But it just made the run seem WAY longer.

Unless you are 150 lbs overweight or a paraplegic or missing limbs or something, how could anyone here be unable to run a mile? Even if you never, ever run or exercise in any way, you should be able to run a mile.

My daughter ran a mile with me without stopping when she was FIVE YEARS OLD and in PRE-KINDERGARTEN.

most of my runs were much longer than 1 mile, but it just so happens that the last time I actually ran, ended up being 1 mile. I was working through an injury. I am ready to get back to training distances again.
