yep. let her play until it isn't fun for her anymore. which would probably be before she graduates high school.

female players in college are even more rare and it's much harder. IF she were to make it to college ball, she'd likely not last long there regardless of skill; not many teams out there that would be accommodating to something like a female player.

keep in mind, this girl is a 6th grader.

although when i was the head wrestling coach at my previous school (middle school) we wrestled a team who had several girls each year (i always had a suspicion the coach was a semi-perv)... it was painful to watch the reaction these confused middle school boys had to physical contact with the opposite sex (which were usually more physically mature than they were)

I remember watching our state champ at 135 wrestle a girl and just destroying her, he won on points (don't remember what the number was, I think 8-0)

He clearly had these faces like "seriously, this is stupid, don't make me do this to her"

He didn't want to pin her so he always started on the bottom and would just escape

when i wrestled i honestly would like to think i wouldn't give a shit if it was a girl and i'd try my hardest to pin her... of course she would have been a heavyweight so it wouldn't have been that much of a stretch to block out her femininity.

back when I was wrestling (middle school) I was frankly terrified of women

I would have found it very difficult to wrestle a woman in earnest

it would have been hoverhand-style wrestling...like, I'd have gone for takedowns and whatnot, but I'd have been careful not to touch her

I had to wrestle a girl in the 215 weight class once...pretty much took the approach crazy_carl described. We did have this one lucky bastard on our team that got to wrestle a very fit cheerleader chick at one of the tourneys -- lucky because he actually won; supposedly she had already beaten a couple of dudes that year
