since you didn't need nearly that much volume, is there a reason you just didn't make the MDF recessed into the hole and leave the floor factory flush?

The trunk tub is 9" deep. I needed 9.2 for the sub+ .75" of clearance behind it.
Had to raise the floor, but could have glassed only the front half if I wanted to.

The wheels look really good, and that sounds like a logical solution for the sub. I do suppose the extra forward space going to the seatback is probably more usable than an extra 10" of height in the center of the floor.

About 20 pounds. The underside includes a foam underlayment, which will help with vibration.

dear lord steer clear of that shit; did the trunk of my civic in fall 2007, shit stunk for years. not to mention any water that may get on it adds to the funk

Peel-n-Seal is bad. It smells, it shifts, it smells....

I still use dynomat, even though there are cheaper (some say better) alternatives out there.

I have the wood floor glued to the sub-floor now. Need to hit it with the router and drop it in.

I like the hardwood look. Why put the carpet back in? Keep stuff from sliding so much?

It helps a lot with road noise.
Secondary is that it helps keep stuff from sliding, and leaving drag marks.

If I go to shows, I'll leave the carpet at home.

I like em. Are the tires 35s? I went with 19s on my car because I'd have to run a 30 for 20's. 19" tires are $$$$

nope. maybe this weekend. They have all season tires on them, vs the summer tires on the current wheels.
Once I put them on, it will only be for a week or so, till I put the summer tires back.

Put the wheels on, and then promptly removed them.
The original owner was apparently not into telling the truth about fitment, and why he got rid of them.
They are BMW fitment wheels, that were redrilled to 5x114.3. They are 20x9 and et 15 by my best guestimate.
If I had been told that to start, then I wouldn't be having to get rid of them, or have the hub surface milled.

There is no tread past the fender, but it rubs very badly in the rears. These would work if I was about 1" lower, and added some negative camber.

The offset should be stamped into the wheel. Probably on a spoke

I checked the spokes. The stamp says ET (some space) 1
I know that isn't correct.

The grey wheels are back on.

I ordered the 370Z brakes yesterday around 4:00pm.
I had a "attempted delivery" notice on my front door this afternoon.
Z1motorsports in Georgia is really on their game.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to get my hands on them till Friday.

As you know, I'm in Raleigh this weekend. Then I'm in St. Louise the following weekend.
If you are free the weekend of the 27th, or oct 4th then I'm game.

They don't look nearly as massive once installed on the car.

Did all that in one sitting. I was super HANGRY and wife told me I needed to make a U-turn. I figured I was going to drive up the curb and drop off, but instead just caught the edge.

I mean, moral objections aside, it’s certainly an improvement. I also like that the brakes say Nissan as opposed to brembo or wilwood or something, seems less tunerish.

really good brakes, have some on my RS

except they say Nissan instead of Subaru on them

what did you pay for the calipers, if you don't mind me asking?

Rotors, centric pads, bolts, calipers, fluid, and shipping was $1780
Would have been $250 cheaper if I went with silver calipers instead of red.

*Wanders into thread for the first time in months*

Hmmmmm, nicer flooring than my house

Hmmmmm, impressive redrill work on those BMW donk things

Hmmmmm, I mean if you'd just roll those quarters some more

Hmmmmm, those brakes look pretty neat

Sub box was $120.
I was going to roll the fenders until I discovered that isn't where the wheels rub first.

Funny, because I look at the 240 thread and dream about having a fun car.

So, does this mean the brakes will epically fail on a race track, just like on the 370Z?

Pretty sure these are larger. Those front rotors are 14" in diameter, way way bigger than the WRX's.

^^No space to keep it, or time to play with it. Not currently at least.
I have been working 60+ hours a week for the last 4 months.

^ Links? Related to the hardware, or lack of cooling?
