And we need more of them. And shorter lines. Cuz when I wanna get my Chirba on, I don't wanna wait half the day to do so.

My sweets and I might try to duplicate Chirba goodness this weekend.

In other news, what would be a good Kickstart approach to setting up my own food truck?

How many food trucks are in Raleigh now? Is it all Mexican? What are the different types of food?

If you think food trucks are a hipster fad you may be retarded.

You might as well start a
Jack Johnson cover band.

The fad started with this truck in LA. Dude that worked at a bunch of high end restaurants started making Kim chee quesadillas. I like being able to experiment low risk. He turned it into 2 brick and mortar restaurants.

Wikicapped people do not get special parking.

selling hot food out of mobile carts has been around since we discovered that we could put fire ON this new fangled wheel device.

but yeah, hipsters found out about it like 12 years ago and it got a little "overblown"

^ its either McDonald's or food trucks for you? How about any of the other thousands of establishments that are cheaper and have value added, such as... places to sit.

Although I do love some mexican 'food trucks', but they aren't really in the same category as the others. I also appreciate bbq food trucks, like Big Al's and Big Mikes, prices are usually reasonable and the food is great.

RAWR RAWR RAWR I'M GOING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT SOME SHIT ON THE INTERNET RAWR RAWR RAWR

I love food trucks. For one they're often offering food where it is otherwise not available...like right outside my building at work and at breweries, and I have places to sit at each of those places.

Are you actually trying to call me out for complaining about food trucks on the internet? Where else would you like me to complain about them? Is the internet too much of a modern appliance to communicate my grievances regarding an overpriced food trend? Should I stick to twitter? Yelp?

Tell me where you work and I'll be glad to stand over you and discuss my feelings about local food trucks while you're cowering in your cubicle eating $12 ChirbaChirba on Tuesdays

So you do like food trucks...just not the ones with food you don't like and wouldn't pay a certain price for.

Gotcha....

Huge difference between the fantastic $1.50 taco trucks that you see every now and then, and even the $5 bbq sandwich trucks, than the $12 dumplings and $9 hamburgers & fries I see parked outside my work every day of the week

..... dumbass

Came in to plug Porchetta. My best friend owns and runs it and the food is awesome. $7 for a sandwich made with slow roasted pork.

Also, for those that think these are hipster vans, most of their customers are from corporate office parks, private gigs/catering, breweries and large crowd events. All the downtown hipster hide-outs are inaccessible to trucks, at least in Raleigh.
