definitely agree that early to mid 90's was the golden era of hip hop. early 2000's shit was good at the time, but sounds so damn cheesy now. It just doesn't stand the test of time the way 90's hip hop did.

Yes. Hip hop and rap used to have a 'point'. Whether or not you were a huge fan of it was one thing, but today's stuff sounds like house music set to thizz inspired lyrics. No thanks. I think the decline of the Black Eyed Peas summarizes what happened fairly clearly.
