To be attractive but then grow old and see younger more attractive generation take your place, or just to always have been plain-looking and never get much attention in the first place?

Similarly, is it better to have above average intelligence but then see younger smarter folks be quicker and more accomplished than you, or to just have average smarts and never be particularly admired for your intellect in the first place?

I would prefer being plain and average but I was cursed with beauty and intelligence. Ah well. Life.
