I have a couple friends that do this. neither of them are ethnic or overly hairy, as far as I can tell. one of them thinks it's so normal that once she asked me why I didn't shave mine (and I have blonde, normal thickness/distribution arm and leg hair).
there are so many questions I have.
to start, do any of you do this? if so, why? is it a personal preference, or for a guy(s)? do you think the time spent doing it (and associated annoyances - razor burn, stubble, etc) is worth the temporarily hairless arms? have you tried to stop, but can't deal with the re-growth period? 7/22/2013 1:57:28 PM

my mom is one of those people that do it every day. I used to, but if you don't have time to do it for a couple days, it's obviously horrible. fuck that shit. 7/22/2013 2:00:41 PM

I shave my arms. It's not that there was a lot of hair but I'm SUPER pale and a dark brunette
it just looked gross. it takes literally a minute to do in the shower it's not the hassle leg shaving is. I don't even need to do it every day or anything. 7/22/2013 2:03:11 PM

My wife does this. She has fine blonde hair.
I'm indifferent to it, no opinion

Yeah...some girls have really dark, thick arm hair. That shit needs to be shaved. Props to you. 7/22/2013 2:09:26 PM

i've never heard of girls doing this... i have heard of guys doing it (which always seemed a little off to me). Stubble arms have got to suck. 7/22/2013 2:33:34 PM

I did once when I was at that awkward overly self-conscious phase of adolescence. My mom noticed and made fun of me for days. I never did it again.
Occasionally I'll touch someone's arm and notice stubble, and that's always unpleasantly surprising. That has pretty much only been guys though. 7/22/2013 2:36:47 PM

Pale brunette. I shave my arms, but if I don't pluck, wax, and shave everything I look like wolf man.
The arm hair takes no time to shave and takes forever to grow back. Not worth the money to wax them.
