the wife's has very faint monitor burn in, and browsing the customer support forums its a known issue. They will replace the laptop under warranty, but I'm told to expect the problem again in about 3-4 months.
I googled for programs to help remove burn-in and found a few options, has anyone used any of them successfully? I also heard a tip to use an all white jpeg as the screensaver and leave that on with brightness turned down some, anyone tried that? 7/28/2013 5:01:18 PM |

so the general concept with an LCD is the same as Plasma? I've dealt with this on a Plasma but didn't know that it can also be an issue with LCD. 7/28/2013 6:03:39 PM |

My TV has a burn in tool, its basically a white bar that goes down the TV repeatedly.... Essentially cycling the colors on and off at full bright.
Maybe create a video or get a screen saver that does this. 7/28/2013 11:00:48 PM |
