^^They did pick a few months ago. In fact one of the candidates is an NCSU grad. I didn't expect to get too far this time since it was my first application and people rarely make it unless they've applied a few times. Also, the youngest astronaut candidate ever was 32 and I'm only 29. Gotta start somewhere though.

^ Yeah, I'm pretty good friends with her brother. I think I met her once or twice, but we didn't really know each other.

Her bro and I were in mechanical engineering together, and did a lot of motorcycle riding (mostly sportbikes, although we took his motocross bike out to a track one time while I was repairing my GSX-R after a crash). I promptly crashed his motocross bike and had to go to the ER to get my leg stapled back together.
