I did my first two years of undergrad (2000-2002) at Georgia Tech, and it FUCKING BLEW. I hate Georgia Tech and will hate it forever. Many of the professors/TAs/course policies are hardasses to the point of being actively malicious (not all of them, but enough to constitute a trend) the male/female ratio is like 4:1 (so that fat/ugly girls get cocky and consider themselves catches), it's hot as balls, and you can't step off campus without some bum accosting you and asking for change.

The place might have improved in the ten years since I last set foot there, but FUCK GEORGIA TECH I said then, and FUCK GEORGIA TECH I say now.

Their professors are more approachable than ours were.

I still talk to one about certain things from time to time and I met him from my wife going there.

Living two blocks from Tech the last several years, its definitely gotten better even since I've been around. Of course, the part of campus I am near (5th street) is mostly new bars, restaurants, cafes, etc. so I am seeing more of the crowd that actually gets out and does shit and not the dormcave hermit people.
