i bought the black friday special where you got the game and all the map packs for less than 20 bucks and i have been playing it quite a lot.

I got destiny for my birthday and i havent even played it once because i have been playing titanfall.

I just play with random people. I do pretty good with the smart pistol.

I actually tried out destiny for a while the other day. I turned it off and put titanfall back on...

destiny is YAWN

i'll keep working on it, i'm not really a big video game person, so we will see if i get some interest in the game.

I only paid $20 for it new on one of them amazon sales like 2 months after it came out. I played it for less than 5 minutes. #TERRIBLE

Less than 5 minutes was enough to tell you the game was terrible....

I liked it a lot. I played it for a couple of months before Destiny came out and then switched. If you like multiplayer FPS games with big mechs, its enjoyable. It has zero single player and story value.

I am having look drift problem. It automatically look up even if I don't touch the joystick. Anyone having this problem? I set the drift setting on high and google for solution. The only answer is buy new controller

Yes 5 mins with the disk in, and the beta was enough for me to know that it didn't get any better. I have limited free time to spend on video games, so if a game doesn't blow me away in the first 10-15 mins it usually ends up never coming out of the case again.

Just wondering-- what don't you like about the game? It didn't live up to the hype at all but I thought it distinguished itself as being more than just a run and gun shooter with the Titans.

That it didn't live up to the hype, was call of duty with titans, had NO story line at all (Sure they added some garbage last second but it literally a pick up and shoot people game), and lastly the titans and AI made the game boring as all get out.

Seriously, the game is just people farming bots or killing pilots until they get their titan, then they wreck shit for 30 seconds or so until others gang up and destroy them, then the cycle repeats.

Also the graphics sucked balls, and the frame rate issues when there were multiple titans on screen was inexcusable.

I think not liking a game because it didn't live up to the hype is kind of subjective.

Killing bots until you get your Titan is one way to play but an effective team can take down your Titan with ease.

DLC - When a developer sells you half a game, and then makes you buy the other half in small pieces over the next year.

^^wrong. Look at Destiny as an example. People were breaking into the first DLC areas of the game just after release. It was already built into the game, just being released a couple months later. Its like the developers just have you download a password that unlocks the area/mode and call it "DLC"

shrug. the DLC for this certainly wasn't necessary. the new maps were ok, but i prefer the maps in the main game. still, I got 100 hours out of it so it was money decently spent.

and no, i dont expect any story in a game marketed as a multiplayer fps. no i dont mind them trying new stuff like automated (or controlled) tanks or bots in the game. hell if nothing else, i like the bots so it forces people to keep moving and kill them as well as the players since they count as points. h8h8h8 camping which seemed relatively minor in this game.

i look forward to them implementing some of the features from this into future, better games.

I can't figure out how to explicitly play a certain game mode on only DLC maps -- is that even a thing? I see they incorporated the DLC maps into regular game mode rotations.

your only options are the different modes, and only a few of them are limited to DLC

they come up frequently though in the regular rotation since everyone has all the maps now

Titanfall 2 has a multi-player and campaign trailer out. It looks awesome.

All maps and DLC will be free, this is huge for keeping the player base together. Titanfall 1 started to fall apart when they fragmented their user base with the various DLC. At least one mode will not include any AI

the grappling hook looks pretty cool, the trailer has a guy punching out of their doomed titan, grappling another pilot into them mid-air and melee attacking them

shame to hear. there was some initial hype, but i wasn't planning on going back to it. i pretty rarely play sequels (no real reason, just some weird psych thing for me).

on the plus overwatch + evolve v2 have been working fine for me, the former meeting my "fast paced with vertical movement" shooter needs.

Yeah loved TF but was thoroughly underwhelmed by the beta. Movement wasn't as smooth and they seemed to complicate things that didn't need to be complicated and didn't improve really on anything from the first one.

i hated the play in the tech test, but i actually like it in the game

last titan standing isn't nearly as good as it used to be, it was awesome in the first game just needed more weapon options but instead we got rock-paper-scissors with the new titan classes

Played it on PC for the free trial weekend. Really liked it. My oldest son (13) played some and got spanked. My youngest (9) however played it after playing some FPS games recently and kicked serious ass. He was frequently #2 player in the match and getting solid double digit player kills. Way better than me.

Now my dilemma. Kids are getting an Xbox One S from the grandparents. Should I get Titanfall 2 for Xbox or PC? He hasn't played as much on consoles so I don't know if he would like the controller scheme as much as mouse and keyboard. Thoughts?

have they ever played an FPS on console? I have a gaming rig but still prefer FPS on consoles because i like sitting back on the couch (yes, i know you can do that with pc, but its more of a pain)
