The reason this is different is because of Disney's actions.

For years people have been seeing this girl glammed up in exactly the way that upper middle class adults expect to see pre-teens glammed up.

There is no "black culture" at leasst not in a modern sense. Yes there was a slave culture that mixed african traditions with new world traditions and yes some people use those today but other than that there is no contemporary black culture that most people speak of today. Its only racism.

Heres why,

People might say rap is a black culture but they are only saying that because the first few people to do it happened to be black. That is just a coincidence. Its an AMERICAN culture that has more prominence in lower class urban neighborhoods which usually are majority black but its not a race culture. Some black people hate rap and some white people love it. It doesn't mean those people are trying to act like another race.

This shit kills me and is why I hate AMERICAN PEOPLE. There is so much racism.

Racism is on a relative scale that is socially and temporally biased. Sure, on some levels I may be racist, but in my current environment I am on the lower end of the scale. There are historically sound reasons as to why music, dance and athletics are culturally biased. Being an American, in my opinion, is acknowledging that you are in one of the most culturally diverese countries and embracing it. No reason to pretend that we are all the same when we are not.

It is not just black and white, as most people alude to. We are a nation of imigrants. And for that very reason somebody like me only talks to my mother once a month, but my Indian friend Dalip talks to his parents every day. Nation of immigrants.
