At least 4 are dead and at least 6 are wounded in an active shooter situation in the DC Navy Yard. At least 3 gunman are involved and one is down, the others are at large.

At least one shooter is dressed in fatigues and at least one shooter has a long gun.

I know several people who work there. I'm worried it's going to be like the Sandy Hook shooting, where only a few injuries/deaths were reported but ended up being 26 deaths.

al qaeda called for small attacks in the US just a few days ago. no idea at all if that is related as it is way too early to know who the shooters were and what their motivation was, but seemed relevant.

In the instant information era there is so much misinformation on breaking news stories its hard to be reliable.

What we know is there was a shooting at the Washington Navy Yard, fatalities and injuries reported at least one shooter is down.

That is crux of what is known its still an active crime scene so until it is cleared we won't know concrete facts until later.

Aaron Alexis (sp?) is the gunman, he is a recent civilian contractor and was identified by fingerprints. He was using the badge of another person who was recently discharged.
