There is no inappropriate place or dish to utilize horseradish. The only thing you will ever regret about a good horseradish is using too little...or none at all.
Below are a few exemplary horseradish opportunities:
At home on burgers
At your neighbor's place with steak
At your house with steak
Your child's birthday party, on whatever is served.
With cocktail sauce for shrimp served as an appetizer
Any Bloody Mary
Everything else.
Horseradish is the greatest condiment. If you disagree you're wrong, and I feel sorry for you.
Use more horseradish, mane. 9/19/2013 2:15:23 AM

Horseradish is sometimes good on burgers, but if you have a good steak you're just going to ruin it with horseradish.
Sriracha has a weird flavor that I only really like in Ramen and a few other asian foods. 9/19/2013 7:39:40 AM

Horseradish is great on an open face roast beef sandwich
for burgers at home do you guys at it to the meat before grilling or to the bun before eating?] 9/19/2013 8:48:01 AM

^ Add before grilling. Adding directly afterwards takes too much away from the burger.
Also...add to raw oysters. Probably my favorite to use horseradish with.
Also...I love Sriracha on a fried egg. Fry an egg, melt a small slice of swiss on top of it. Add egg to a piece of toast and drizzle sriracha on it. Yum breakfast. 9/19/2013 8:54:29 AM

Are you guys talking about some watered down horseradish mayo blend, or the wasabi you get with sushi? I haven't tried any sauces/blends, but I am completely unable to eat wasabi at sushi places.
Recently got some "wasabi peas", roasted great peas with a wasabi flavored coating. They were very nice, but still too strong, a bit above my threshold.
Has anybody had raw horseradish root? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horseradish

I used raw horseradish root in a bloody Mary salad a couple months ago. I turned the rest into prepared horseradish (which is the plain kind of horseradish you get in a jar, NOT the sandwich spread stuff). Inhaling the vapors from that was the most painful thing I have done recently. 9/19/2013 10:17:44 PM

I never waste money on buying that creamy horseradish sauce. It's generally too weak for my taste, and it's far cheaper to make your own with a little mayo or sour cream. I'll use the homemade spread on sandwiches mostly since it's easier to distribute around the bread. 9/20/2013 8:39:38 AM
