^^You sho can, you can do anything you normally would do just as long as you are lying down. You can even do your job provided you are able to do it through telework. The biggest hurdle I'd say is that you will probably be watched 24/7, so no privacy. That means no rubbing one out unless you don't mind an audience and probably no sex. Which is actually fairly interesting, because that would probably have a significant effect on your overall morale and health.

You get 1,200 per week, so you would get 18,000 only if you are assigned to the 105 day group and finish all 105 days. It doesn't sound as much pay now, does it? So you will get 18,000 for....

3.5 months, not for "a little over 2 months."

So lets see what you have to do/sell to earn 18K.

1) spend 3.5 months in a lab
2) of which 70 days of consecutive lying down...
3) ...with the head side tilted down slightly
4) severe muscle and bone loss (which would need months to recover)
5) going to the toilet while lying down in that position using some device
6) constipation, potentially for 2 months
7) no privacy at all

As a salary, it is great, at 5K per month. Most people earn less than that. And considering that your expenses will be zero for those 3 months, it is equivalent to at least a 6K per month salary, and closer to 7K for many people.

But I don't know if it is worth it or not considering all the points above. That's down to the individual to decide.
