Rodney Purvis makes me laugh. That guy was so fucking overrated its just ridiculous.

Never seen a guy that could barely play get that much hype. Remember when he flamed out on that American National u-19 team or whatever and i said "i hate to read too much into this but this guy might not be what we were thinking". Most people here ripped me for it but as it turns out, it was definitely not a fluke.

People said that guy could play EITHER guard spot. Don't worry about the fact he was a terrible ball handler. One of the worst FT shooting guards ever. Not a great defender. And virtually worthless in halfcourt offense.

They hyped him as a ONE AND DONE! What the fuck... He was one of the least likely guys in our rotation to ever make an NBA roster. Seriously, if i had to choose one guy off that team not to make a roster I'd pick Lewis, Vandenburg, then Purvis. I'd put Lesllie, Brown, and Warren as virtual certainties. Howell as likely, Wood as possible but unlikely, and Jevoni as unlikely but possible.

Uconn fans are going to be sorely disappointed. They are hyped on him because of his ranking coming out of HS. Unfortunately, that ranking was pure bullshit. Guy has no game.

I like to support the players regardless, and I'm pretty defensive about it. But now that he's gone, I guess I'm okay sharing that I was a teeny bit disappointed in him, and I was glad to see his minutes dwindle. He was fast as hell though.
